Tuesday Morning Wrestling Hangover 6-12-12

I didn’t know what to make of last night’s Raw from Hartford Connecticut. In the ring matches were great but as far as storylines are concerned I’m not so sure. The Big Show/Cena feud leaves a lot to be desired. I do enjoy the CM Punk/Bryan/Kane/Aj storyline but it has a certain Jerry Springer vibe to it. Anyways here is what I think about Raw.

What I Think

I think Vince got a tremendously huge pop from the crowd last night. It was really good to see him again.

I think it’s time Vince McMahon puts himself in the Hall of Fame.

I think I like how Laurinitis pointing out DX shoved Vince in Big Show’s butt. Actually that was pretty awful at the time.

I think Vince got a cheap pop for throwing the scooter off the ramp.

I think Del Rio being out of action is a shame. As a fan you have to be concerned that he is always injured.

I think Sheamus and Tensai would be a great long term feud.

I think WWE really dropped the ball with Tensai. I really hope he bounces back because that match last night was great.

I think Tensai is starting to have more of a personality.

I think it is good Tensai is separating from his manager.

I think Sheamus was involved in great matches on Raw back to back weeks. His match with Ziggler was great last week. They should put on a great show at No Way Out.

I think if you put a microphone in front of R-Truth you get gold. Looks like the foot injury is real and he will be out for awhile.

I think I love hearing the original Raw music really takes me back.

I think Santino is carrying Zack Ryder’s US Championship.

I think I hate mixed tag matches.

I think I want to know if Ricardo is more over than Del Rio.

I think it was funny Ricardo was wearing a Justin Biber shirt.

I think Daniel Bryan and CM Punk put on a great promo. Goat face trended worldwide.

I think the triple threat match should be the main event at No Way Out.

I think seeing Christian got me thinking that TNA really wasted how he was used on their PPV.

I think with all the injuries and suspensions it’s time for Dolph Ziggler to shine again.

I think I really like Ryback but it is time he has an actual match. Beating
jobbers that weigh a hundred and twenty pounds means what?

I think I find the Goldberg chants interesting. Ryback is no Goldberg.

I think I’m tired of Vince always taking shots at Jim Ross.

I think Kofi did a good job making Big Show look good in the steel cage.

I think it was great to see Vader on Raw. Heath Slater that loss will haunt you.

I think I’m confused by the fans chanting you still got it to Vader. Were we watching the same match?

I think AJ kissing Kane was weird and uncomfortable.

I think the final segment of the show fell flat. The highlight was Vince being punched by Big Show. I just found myself wishing Raw would end.

I think three hours is way too long for Monday Night Raw. This is not going to work.

Wrestler Of The Night: Dolph Ziggler. He is getting a heavyweight championship match on a pay per view and he deserves it.

Wrestler Who Had A Rough Night: Heath Slater. You got beat by a retired Big Van Vader. That can’t be good for his career.

Tuesday Morning Wrestling Hangover 06-05-2012

Last night’s Raw from Greenville, North Carolina was for the most part pretty bad show.  Here are my thoughts while watching the show.

What I Think

I think I like when Michael Cole trash talks John Cena.

I think I saw a sign in the crowd that said Big Show Sux and so does Cena. I guess fans are expressing how they feel about this feud so far.

I think the whole Big Show/Cena angle is kind of dumb so far.

I think Michael Cole has no business being added into this feud.

I think it’s good to see Dolph Ziggler get a match with the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus.

I think with the suspensions of both Chris Jericho and Randy Orton is the perfect time to get Ziggler back into the main events.

I think I’m not sure what I think of the Sheamus/Del Rio feud. I really think I’m just not interested.

I think I’m glad Vince will be on the show next week.

I think it is only a matter of time until Sin Cara botches himself onto the injured list again.

I think WWE saying Sin Cara is the most popular Mexican wrestler of all time is a lie.

I think I’m tired of the Ryback squash matches.

I think it was nice of WWE to let the local jobbers cut a promo.

I think it’s stupid that Ryback faces guys who weigh a buck twenty.

I think Ryback needs to have a match with someone actually on the WWE Roster.

I think Daniel Bryan is the best heel in the business right now.

I think adding Kane into the Bryan/Punk feud is actually a good thing. I just don’t think the triple threat match should go beyond No Way Out.

I think CM Punk and Kane put on a really good match last night. Probably the best part of the evening.

I think Kane beating CM Punk is a really big win he needed.

I think AJ is doing a good job being insane.

I think I heard the Big Show get bleeped on a PG rated show. His interview segment was a lot like the one Brock Lesnar had back in April.

I think seeing Kofi and Truth makes me really miss Awesome Truth. Miz and Truth were so good together.

I think it was good to see Reks and Hawkins on Raw.

I think WWE has no idea what to do with Tensai. His gimmick keeps changing just a little bit. He seems to hate his manager now.

I think Tensia future does not look good in the WWE.

I think I hated every moment of Cena vs. Michael Cole.

I think Raw was really booked poorly as a whole this week. I feel like the writing staff came up with the show hours before it started.

Wrestler Of The Night: Kane. He picked up a big win against CM Punk and he seems to really matter in this feud.

Wrestler Who Had A Rough Night: Tensai. Will he even finish the year with WWE?

Tuesday Morning Wrestling Hangover 05-29-2012

Last night’s Raw was nothing special. I liked how it was from New Orleans a place I will be going to this summer which is exciting. In all honestly this Raw was all about the Big Show. WWE is trying to make him in a short time be the number one heel. Can Big Show pull it off?

I have to say I find it really interesting that the Big Show is in the role he is in right now. In 18 years in the business he has seen a lot but in all honesty WWE hasn’t shown much faith in him. Now all the sudden he is in the main storyline. Big Show has lost to every major person in the business, and Floyd Mayweather who isn’t in the business. It is tough to wrap my brain around the fact that he is a monster heel again like its 1995 WCW. Listen WWE you hurt his character long ago don’t forget that. With that being said I like this heel turn for Big Show, but if it was stock I wouldn’t invest in it.

What I Think

·         I think The Big Show is pissed at everyone. In the storyline he expected the likes of John Cena and Brodus Clay to help him out when he was fired.

·         I think I like Big Show as an unstoppable giant he needs to be a badass.

·         I think Big Show should have beaten up a fan last night. It just would have put an exclamation point on his heel promo.

·         I think Big Show did a great job in the opening segment.

·         I think Del Rio vs. Santino was a waste of time and did nothing for either wrestler.

·         I think Riley got screwed in the writing department. He is a jobber.

·         I think Kofi/Truth vs. Swagger/Ziggler makes for a great match.

·         I think Vicki is the best heel manager in the business.

·         I think Ziggler backing it up only leads to being in the tag division and that isn’t right.

·         I think I would love to see a ladder match with Ziggler/Swagger vs. Truth/Kofi

·         I think Ziggler and Swagger will split soon.

·         I think I like Brodus Clay calling out Big Show for a match.

·         I think I don’t get how CM Punk had his huge poster ready for after Johnny showed his. The show is supposed to be showed as real. Things like this don’t help.

·         I think I like Big Show and John Cena in a steel cage. In their 1000th match have them face in a steel cage?

·         I think my girlfriend hates Johnny.

·         I think I’m glad the WWE Championship has been with CM Punk since November.

·         I think I hate that WWE showed WWE 13 trending. We knew the whole segment was a commercial. You didn’t have to rub it in.

·         I think I saw the video game saying WWE Attitude.

·         I think Punk vs. Bryan will be feud of the year.

·         I think fans love Punk and Bryan.

·         I think AJ is setting up CM Punk.

·         I think I like seeing the turnbuckle exposed. You don’t see matches ending like that anymore.

·         I think crowds are conflicted on Daniel Bryan.

·         I think I like signs that say Regal or Riot.

·         I think I like The Miz , Cody Rhodes, and Christian. I own a tee-shirt from each of these guys.

·         I think I’m tired of The Miz Burial.

·         I think I realized that The Miz beat Orton back in 2010 for the WWE Championship.

·         I think that I hate how WWE compares themselves to regular TV shows. That is just not fair.

·         I think Ziggler wants out of his tag team.

·         I think I need to buy WrestleMania 27 to remind myself that The Miz was WWE Champion.

·         I think WWE feels that John Cena is the greatest man that ever lived.

·         I think Utunga vs. Sheamus was a waste of time.

·         I think it’s time to stop talking about ECW. I say that with a tear in my eye.

·         I think Brodus Clay should be happy he was in the main event tonight.

·         I think I loved the Big Show spear.

·         I think Big Show made Kofi, Truth, and Clay look like a joke.

·         I think WWE pushed an old guy over young guys.

·         I think Big Show is a monster heel now.

Wrestler Of The Night: Big Show. I mean the show was all about him.

Wrestler Who Had a Rough Night: The Miz. The loss to Christian and the the RKO from Randy Orton prove it. WWE is proving they can give a push and then take it away. I have to admit we here at Recreate Wrestling are big fans of The Miz.
